The state of Arizona requires any care provider to be over the age of 21. There is an extensive process to make sure applicants can provide a safe and nurturing environment. You cannot have any medical, physical, or mental health problems that could interfere with those you will be caring for. The home must maintain all safety requirements. Any adult over 60 can qualify for needing care as well as anyone 18+ with disabilities. Care providers will need to be able to help each person perform everyday activities. Along with all of the inspections, each applicant will be required to submit a Level 1 fingerprint clearance card for a background check.
